Black students comprised the largest ethnic group in Henrico County districts during the 2023-24 school year, according to reports from the Virginia Department of Education.

Of the 50,464 students attending Henrico County district schools, 35.4% were Black. White made up the second largest ethnic group, comprising 32.1% of the student population.

In the previous school year, Black students were also the most common group in Henrico County districts, representing 35.7% of the student body.

In the 2023-24 school year, the total number of students enrolled in the county increased by 0.1% compared to the previous year.
