Congratulations to Captain Taylor Goodman on his upcoming retirement effective Friday, August 27, 2021! Below is a list of his career highlights:
- Virginia Fire Officer Academy
- Virginia Chief Officer Academy (also a staff member)
- National Fire Academy Managing Officer Program
- Int’l Association of Fire Chiefs Chief Officer Leadership Program
- Fire Apparatus Committee member for 16 years
- Founding member of the Driver/Pump Operator instructor cadre
- Key member, Promotional Process Revision Committee
- Continuous Improvement Strategy committees
- Central Virginia All-Hazards Incident Management Team member
- Assigned to Stations 8, 5, 6, 9 and Administration
- Currently assigned as Command Captain at Battalion 301 on A-Shift
- Three years as an instructor in the training section
- Previously served as Captain of Community Risk Reduction
- Previously served as the Public Information Officer
- Two Life Saver Awards and several letters of recognition
