Cost of college went up for all students at Fortis College-Richmond

Tuition and fees rose 1.3 percent for 2018-19 at Fortis College-Richmond, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Virginia students paid $14,552 to attend the two-year private for-profit institution this year – $193 more than the $14,359 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 85 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 45 students received grants or scholarships totaling $248,360 and 49 students took out student loans totaling more than $285,105.

Including all undergraduates (425), 313 students used grants or scholarships totaling $1.4 million, and 286 students took out $1.9 million in federal student loans.
