Sections of Dabbs House and East Richmond roads will be closed to through traffic for about five months, beginning Thursday, Sept. 29, for improvements.
Dabbs House will be closed between Bressingham Drive/Robcurn Drive and Wheelwood Way. East Richmond will be closed between Dabbs House and Nine Mile Road. Residents who live in the project area and emergency personnel will be able to access properties from the west side of the work zone, near Bressingham/Robcurn.
Crews will widen Dabbs House in the project area and a portion of East Richmond near its intersection with Dabbs House. The work also will include the installation of new water and sewer lines as well as a sidewalk on the north side of Dabbs House in the project area.
The closure is expected until March. A detour will direct motorists around the work zone by way of North Laburnum Avenue, Creighton Road and Nine Mile.
