Congratulations to Henrico County employee Roger Jackson who is retiring after 41 years! Public Works hired Roger (pictured in the Henrico cap) in 1981 as an equipment operator. He worked his way up the ranks to eventually become a road maintenance supervisor.
During his career with the county, Roger received a personal commendation from former Fairfield District Supervisor John Waldrop for his exemplary and courteous work. He also received recognition for assisting in job fairs, recruiting employees and serving as an instructor for DPW’s Heavy Equipment Operator Training program.
Enjoy retirement, Roger. Thank you for your decades of service to Henrico County!
