County Of Henrico issued the following announcement on May. 28.
With demand for the COVID-19 vaccine dwindling, Henrico ended vaccination efforts at Richmond Raceway on Thursday, May 27. It was bittersweet for the dedicated people who worked side by side since January to put shots in arms.
The county administered more than 166,000 doses of the vaccine during the four-plus-month operation – an effort that involved nearly 110,000 staff-hours. It was a staggering task shouldered by a team committed to making our community a safer place.
