WASHINGTON, D.C. – This month, Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) was awarded the 60 Plus American Association’s Guardian of Seniors’ Rights Award, in recognition of his commitment to protecting American senior citizens’ rights. Following his acceptance of the award, Congressman Wittman stated:

“Our seniors deserve easy, reliable access to all the benefits and programs they have contributed to throughout their life. Not only is protecting these programs important for on June 26 seniors, but also for our future generations, which is why I have continued to fight for the preservation of programs such as Social Security and Medicare. I thank Founder and Chairman Jim Martin and President Saul Anuzis for this honor, and I look forward to continuing my work in safeguarding seniors’ benefits and rights.”

Throughout his time in Congress, Congressman Wittman has supported multiple pieces of legislation that protect senior benefits, including the SECURE Act of 2019 and Secure 2.0 – Securing a Strong Retirement Act.

Congressman Wittman was also awarded the Guardian of Seniors’ Rights Award in 2022.
