U.S. Representative Rob Wittman (VA-01) hosted a roundtable discussion with the Yorktown Chamber of Commerce, bringing together local business owners and officials to address the impact of recent tax reforms on small businesses. The meeting centered on H.R. 1, which was signed into law on July 4th and contains provisions aimed at supporting economic growth.
“Recently, I voted for H.R.1, legislation that provides small businesses across the Commonwealth with historic tax relief and tax certainty, allowing them to grow, create jobs, and have a lasting impact on local communities,” said Rep. Wittman. “I was proud to join the Yorktown Chamber of Commerce in hosting this roundtable, during which we discussed the ways that I am working in Washington to support small businesses – including those in Yorktown – and ensure they will continue to thrive.”
The event included participants from various sectors such as state government, finance, real estate, insurance, construction, law enforcement, retail, tourism, and home services. Among those present were Virginia State Senator Danny Diggs (R-24), Delegates Chad Green (R-69) and A.C. Cordoza (R-86), as well as several business leaders from Yorktown and surrounding areas.
