Virginia REALTORS Celebrates Staff Promotions

Join us in celebrating some recent promotions among our staff. Virginia REALTORS® strives to shape the future of real estate in the commonwealth, and we are excited for the new opportunities these promotions will bring.

Martin Johnson is promoted to Chief External Affairs Officer. He will now oversee all the departments and initiatives that deal with our association’s external relationships. Martin’s portfolio will include Research and Economic Advocacy; Community and Industry Relations; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Government Affairs/Lobbying; Regulatory Affairs; Political Operations; and RPAC.

“I am excited to take on the oversight of these important initiatives,” says Johnson. “Our efforts around external relations advance our association’s mission through opening new doors of opportunity and fostering constructive relationships. Creating synergy across these efforts will help to propel our endeavors.”

Anthony Reedy, our Vice President of Political Operations will now also oversee all RPAC development and fundraising strategy as well as REALTOR® Party initiatives.

Mary Lawson, our Vice President of Legislative Affairs, is now also assuming the role of Chief Lobbyist.

Lynne Wherry is promoted to Vice President of Association Relations.
