Ten CAA Women’s Soccer Players Earn United Soccer Coaches All-Region Selections

 Ten women’s soccer players from five CAA members were selected as United Soccer Coaches All-Region honorees for the 2022 season.

Drexel forward Delaney Lappin was named a first team selection and six players from five league members –Drexel midfielder Annalena O’Reilly, Hofstra defender Anja Suttner, Monmouth defender Jesi Rossman, Northeastern forward Vivian Akyirem and midfielder Alexis Legowski, and Towson forward Nia Christopher – earned second team honors. Monmouth defender Lauren Bruno, along with Towson midfielder Jasmine Hamid and goalkeeper Riley Melendez, were named to the third team.

Lappin was the CAA Attacking Player of the Year in 2022, O’Reilly earned Midfielder of the Year honors, Rossman collected Defensive Player of the Year accolades, and Melendez collected Goalkeeper of the Year distinction. Seven first team All-CAA honorees and three second team recipients earned All-Region selections.
