Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) has issued a statement regarding the Biden administration's decision to withhold arms shipments to Israel. He expressed his concern, stating, "President Biden’s decision to withhold critical arms shipments to Israel is an insult to our only true democratic ally in the Middle East. It is more critical than ever that the United States supports Israel’s right to defend itself and its mission to eliminate Hamas terrorists."

Wittman further criticized the administration's approach towards dealing with Hamas. He said, "By attempting to force Israel to cut a deal with Hamas and hold back military operations, President Biden is lessening the pressure on Hamas to release the remaining innocent Israeli and American hostages still being held in Gaza."

The congressman also mentioned his support for Israel through legislative action. "I proudly voted for the Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act last month to send urgent military aid to Israel," he said. Wittman voiced his disagreement with President Biden's actions, arguing they contradict congressional intent and weaken U.S.-Israel relations.

He concluded by urging President Biden to proceed with the arms shipments, saying, "The president must allow these arms shipments to proceed so that Israel can defend itself and defeat Hamas."
