The Charleston women’s golf team, following its 2022 Colonial Athletic Association Championship, will travel to Tallahassee, Florida, for its NCAA Regional on May 9-11.
The Cougars will play in a 12-team regional at Seminole Legacy Golf Club against South Carolina, UCLA, Florida State, Ole Miss, Illinois, Mississippi State, Miami, Denver, North Florida, Georgia Southern, and Quinnipiac. The top four teams and top two individuals outside of that group will advance to the NCAA Championship May 20-25 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Charleston captured the 2022 CAA title 10 days ago by an 11-stroke margin at The Clubs at St. James in Southport, North Carolina. Cougar teammates Viktoria Hund and Emma Schimpf finished 1-2 at the Championship with Hund at even par on the weekend while Schimpf was 2-over.
The Cougars competed in a 16-team regional in Simpsonville, Kentucky in 2021 and will play a regional for the fifth time since joining the CAA.
