AECOM Technology Corporation issued the following announcement on Feb. 28

AECOM, the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, announced today it has appointed Dwight H. Pullen, Jr., an aviation industry veteran, to lead its North American aviation practice. Mr. Pullen joined the industry’s leading global transportation design firm as a senior vice president, effective February 26.

With more than 25 years’ experience driving strategic growth within the aviation infrastructure market, Mr. Pullen will leverage his focus on airport facilities’ development, airport operational excellence and client engagement to extend the growth of AECOM’s aviation business in the United States, Canada and Latin America. Mr. Pullen has expertise in program management, alternative delivery and construction, and has overseen multi-billion-dollar airport modernization programs from Atlanta, GA, to Abu Dhabi, UAE.

“AECOM is fortunate to have one of our industry’s brightest lights joining our team. Dwight’s expertise and forward thinking is something our Americas’ aviation clients will value as they rebound from the coronavirus pandemic and invest for the future,” said Jennifer Aument, chief executive of AECOM’s global Transportation business. “Significantly, Dwight is purpose driven, and he joins an incredible team that shares his passion for delivering solutions that uplift people and communities.”

“We’re excited to have Dwight here to drive new growth for our North American aviation business,’’ said Bijan Pashanamaei, AECOM’s global aviation director. “With a keen eye on market trends, coupled with strong expertise and enthusiasm, he’s the right leader for our colleagues and clients as they collaborate on projects that make airport operations more efficient and airport facilities more sustainable.”

A civil engineer, Mr. Pullen has held program management and executive positions for both private and public engineering and construction firms focusing on all aspects of airport operations and development, advising clients on strategies to plan, design and build airport facilities. A thought leader, STEM education advocate and author, he also serves as Chair and executive board member of the Airport Consultants Council (ACC) and is a board member of the Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC).
