Virginia Eye Institute, Inc. issued the following announcement on Dec. 3
The Bon Air Artists Association (BAAA) was founded in 1974 by J’net Kaulfers to encourage her students from her oil painting classes. Their talents and interests had grown beyond their classes and the annual exhibits on her backyard fence.
The Bon Air Artists Association became an organization to promote cultural awareness, offer excellent programs and to give up-and-coming artists the chance to meet, share and exhibit with other artists.
Since 1974, the BAAA has grown as an active, friendly, and stimulating organization. It not only fulfills the needs of local artists, but also extends opportunities to the artistic needs of artists in the Chesterfield County and Richmond metropolitan area.
The BAAA regularly meets the first Frida of each month (except for July and August) at 9:30 AM at the Congregation Or Ami, located at 9400 W. Huguenot Road, Richmond, Virginia. Two types of membership are available: Regular membership and exhibiting membership. For more information, contact Lynn Sewell, Membership Chair, at (804) 639-2159 or President Gloria Callahan at (804) 379-0016.
