Rivers Edge Elementary School has announced the theme for the 2025–2026 Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Reflections program as “I Belong!” The PTA will provide further details and deadlines for student participation.

According to Rivers Edge Elementary, the PTA Reflections program offers students various opportunities to explore the theme “I Belong!” across multiple arts categories. Dance participants can select a song that reflects their feelings and use choreography or movement to express emotions and foster self-connection. Film students have the option to produce personal documentaries that highlight experiences of inclusion or exclusion, sharing their stories with others.

Students are also encouraged to write literature pieces using characters, settings, and plots to depict their sense of belonging. They can create visual art collages from photos, magazine cutouts, or other materials to explore identity and community. Additionally, they may compose instrumental music that conveys emotions like acceptance and connection or stage and capture photographs using symbolic imagery to illustrate togetherness. Each category encourages students to reflect on their personal experiences while creatively expressing their interpretations of belonging.

Rivers Edge Elementary is located at 11600 Holman Ridge Road in Glen Allen, Virginia. The school operates from 7:40 a.m. to 2:10 p.m., with half-day dismissal at 11:05 a.m., and summer hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
