Representative Rob Wittman, who serves Virginia’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted his legislative and constituent engagement efforts in a series of social media posts.

On July 30, 2025, Wittman promoted recent tax legislation, stating, “H.R.1 puts money back in the pockets of every American. By delivering historic tax relief, expanding the child tax credit, and preventing a 19% tax hike for Virginians, this legislation is a critical step toward strengthening our economy and providing certainty for American”.

The following day, Wittman shared details about his visit to a local healthcare facility: “Recently, I had the opportunity to tour Dockside Health and Rehab Center in Locust Hill. It was great to meet with employees from Dockside Health and Saber Healthcare Group to discuss how they work to support fellow Virginians. I was able to share my work in support of seniors -“ (July 31, 2025).

Continuing his outreach during the August Recess, Wittman wrote on August 1: “The August Recess allows me additional time to visit our district, including historic Mathews County. I enjoyed meeting with county leaders to discuss their efforts to improve public safety through updates to law enforcement radio systems.”

Rob Wittman has represented Virginia’s 1st District since succeeding Jo Ann Davis in 2007 and previously served at both state and local levels of government as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates and Westmoreland County Board of Supervisors. Born in Washington D.C. in 1959 and residing in Montross, Wittman holds a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech.
