Rep. Rob Wittman, who has represented Virginia’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2007, recently addressed several policy priorities and events on his official Twitter account.
On April 28, Wittman wrote about healthcare access in rural Virginia: “In rural Virginia, access to health care can mean traveling miles for an appointment. That’s why we’re strengthening rural hospitals and expanding telehealth for those with high-deductible health plans.”
Later that evening, on April 29, he commented on a speech by King Charles III: “It was an honor to hear from His Majesty King Charles III during his joint address. His remarks highlighted the shared values that unite the U.S. and U.K. — sovereignty, strength, and resolve. I look forward to strengthening our partnership, especially in defending the region.”
On April 29, Wittman also reaffirmed his commitment to environmental advocacy: “Protecting the Chesapeake Bay is personal to me, and I will continue advocating for policies that ensure our nation’s public waters and lands remain healthy for generations to come. Born in Washington D.C., Wittman is currently 64 years old and resides in Montross. He graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1981.
