Rep. Rob Wittman, who represents Virginia’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted local economic and community initiatives in a series of posts on social media.
On August 12, 2025, Wittman shared his visit to a major regional employer, stating, “Anheuser-Busch has become a fixture in the community – creating jobs and driving investment in Virginia’s economy. It was great to tour their brewery in Williamsburg and learn about their continued efforts to enhance production and expand their positive impact on the region.”
Later that day, he commented on his staff’s engagement with agricultural producers: “I’m glad members of my staff were able to stop by the Great American Farmer’s Market in Washington, D.C. last week to meet with farmers and producers from across the Commonwealth!” (August 12, 2025).
In another post dated August 12, 2025, Wittman informed constituents about available assistance services: “Do you need help with checking on Social Security benefits, renewing a passport, or processing a VA claim? My district offices in Glen Allen and Yorktown are open every day, but my team is also hosting mobile office hours in Tappahannock tomorrow to assist constituents with”
Wittman has served as Virginia’s 1st District representative since replacing Jo Ann Davis in 2007. He previously held roles on the Westmoreland County Board of Supervisors and served in the Virginia House of Delegates before joining Congress. Born in Washington, D.C., Wittman currently resides in Montross and graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree.
