Rep. Rob Wittman, who represents Virginia’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, announced on social media that his offices are offering expanded constituent services and highlighted legislative progress to honor a local community leader.
On April 13, 2026, Wittman posted: “Do you need help with checking on Social Security benefits, renewing a passport, or processing a VA claim? My district offices in Glen Allen and Yorktown are open every day, but my team is also hosting mobile office hours in Kilmarnock tomorrow to assist constituents with https://t.co/dVbwmW9tYw”.
The following day, he reiterated these efforts for another location: “Do you need help with checking on Social Security benefits, renewing a passport, or processing a VA claim? My district offices in Glen Allen and Yorktown are open every day, but my team is also hosting mobile office hours in Warsaw tomorrow to assist constituents with casework. https://t.co/t34oyti5Lm” (April 14, 2026).
Later on April 14, Wittman addressed legislative developments: “I am thrilled to see that my bill to rename the New Kent Post Office in honor of Patricia Paige has passed the House. Rob Wittman has represented Virginia’s 1st District since 2007 after succeeding Jo Ann Davis. Prior to his congressional service, he served in the Virginia House of Delegates and on the Westmoreland County Board of Supervisors from 2006 to 2007. Wittman was born in Washington, D.C., in 1959 and resides in Montross. He graduated from Virginia Tech in 1981.
