Rep. Rob Wittman, who represents Virginia’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, has used his social media platform to highlight constituent services and recent events organized by his office.

On August 25, 2025, Wittman posted: “Do you need help with checking on Social Security benefits, renewing a passport, or processing a VA claim? My district offices in Glen Allen and Yorktown are open every day, but my team is also hosting mobile office hours in Gloucester tomorrow to assist constituents with https://t.co/QP8oNIZ4LD”.

The following day, August 26, he reiterated this message for another location: “Do you need help with checking on Social Security benefits, renewing a passport, or processing a VA claim? My district offices in Glen Allen and Yorktown are open every day, but my team is also hosting mobile office hours in Tappahannock tomorrow to assist constituents with https://t.co/F4N1ybPswQ”.

On August 27, Wittman shared an update about an employment event: “Yesterday, my office hosted a job fair which brought together employers and job seekers from across Virginia’s First District. Thank you to everyone who joined and made this event such a success! https://t.co/5lD1g53Vin”.

Wittman has represented Virginia’s 1st congressional district since 2007 after succeeding Jo Ann Davis. He previously served on the Westmoreland County Board of Supervisors and in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2006 to 2007. Born in Washington D.C. in 1959 and currently residing in Montross at age 64, Wittman earned his undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech in 1981.
