Rep. Rob Wittman, U.S. Congressman representing Virginia’s 1st district since 2007, posted a series of messages on social media on April 15 and 16, focusing on tax relief measures and his recent engagement with local farmers.

On April 15, Wittman highlighted the significance of Tax Day for American families: “Today is Tax Day, and I want you to be informed about key savings for you and your family that were made possible by the Working Families Tax Cuts.  This legislation provides meaningful tax relief, strengthens household finances, and supports working Americans across the country.” Later that day, he encouraged constituents to learn more about the impact of this legislation in Virginia: “Today is Tax Day! Wittman has represented Virginia’s 1st District in Congress since replacing Jo Ann Davis in 2007. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Virginia House of Delegates and on the Westmoreland County Board of Supervisors from 2006 to 2007. Born in Washington, D.C., in 1959, Wittman currently resides in Montross at age 64. He graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1981.
