Rep. Rob Wittman, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Virginia’s 1st District since 2007, recently addressed several issues through his social media platform. Wittman succeeded Jo Ann Davis and has a history of public service including roles in the Virginia House of Delegates and the Westmoreland County Board of Supervisors.

On June 7, 2025, Rep. Wittman urged residents of Virginia’s First District to prepare for an above-normal hurricane season. He emphasized that both coastal and inland areas could be affected by “strong winds, flooding, and tornadoes.” The original tweet can be accessed here.

On June 9, 2025, he announced his participation in a live radio show with Rep. Lisa McClain via a tweet stating: “I just joined @jfradioshow live with @RepLisaMcClain — tune in!”.

Later on the same day, Wittman informed constituents about available services at his district offices in Glen Allen and Yorktown. He mentioned that mobile office hours would be held in Kilmarnock to assist with Social Security benefits checks, passport renewals, or VA claims processing. Rep. Wittman’s career began after graduating from Virginia Tech in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Born in Washington D.C., he currently resides in Montross at age 64.
