Oakleys Lane is now open!

Oakleys Lane is now open! Today county leaders cut the ribbon to celebrate significant improvements to the nearly half-mile stretch of road between South Holly Avenue and Oakleys Place.

Public Works crews widened lanes and installed roadway shoulders and guardrails. They also realigned the road and built a bridge over Gillies Creek to help alleviate flooding after heavy rainfall. The changes make the road safer and more accessible to residents in the Varina District.

“This project is another example of how Henrico County listens to our residents, hears their concerns and then takes the steps necessary to address the problem. This is how the Henrico Way works,” said Varina District Supervisor Tyrone Nelson.
