On today’s episode of Up To Speed, we meet V Teamer Rocio Llanos-Foots, who has been with our company for nine years. She began her Verizon journey as a customer service representative at one of our retail stores in Short Hills, N.J. Today she serves as manager of the Voice of the Customer program that handles customer feedback for the Retail, Indirect and Inside Sales channels.

Rocio reflected on her time spent with Verizon and how much she’s grown both personally and professionally. She expressed gratitude for our benefits including the Tuition Assistance Program, Employee Assistance Program and Back-up Care Advantage Program, all of which have played a significant role in her life.

Rocio shared why she loves parenthood and how Verizon has made it easier to be a working mom. She says throughout the COVID-19 pandemic,Verizon’s Back-up Care Advantage Program allowed her to continue working full time in person while a care-taker, partially funded by Verizon, looked after her daughter while she attended virtual schooling.

“I see a lot of my other family members or friends that work for different companies and sometimes they don’t have all these benefits and they can’t utilize them and have to find resources on their own,” Rocio said. “So the fact that Verizon offers that and it’s something that we can fall back on if we need to has been really instrumental.”
