MerryGoRound, Inc., a fulfillment company based in North Carolina, will invest over $10 million to establish a new logistics and fulfillment center in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. The move is expected to create 203 jobs at a 400,000-square-foot facility that will support the company’s expanding live commerce division. Virginia was selected for the project over competing sites in North Carolina and Puerto Rico.

We are proud to welcome MerryGoRound to the Commonwealth.”

The company manages several collectibles and apparel brands such as Pfootballpete, GoingTwice, and Annaya_F. Its new facility will focus on live commerce sales through social media platforms and live streaming marketplaces including eBay Live, Whatnot, TikTok Shop, Fanatics Live, Walmart Live, and Amazon Live. The expansion will generate roles ranging from videographers and graphic designers to logistics specialists.

Pittsylvania County officials noted that this investment signals continued growth for local industry. “The Industrial Development Authority applauds MerryGoRound for choosing Pittsylvania County as the location for its live commerce division,” said Pittsylvania County Industrial Authority Chairman Dr. Joey Faucette. “This decision further demonstrates that Pittsylvania County is becoming a leader in attracting business and industry to the Southside region. The reuse of the former AAF Tank Museum building is a win-win for both MerryGoRound and Pittsylvania County, and by creating 203 jobs, MerryGoRound offers additional opportunities for our residents and their children to continue to live, work and play in or near their hometowns.”

The effort involved cooperation between state agencies including the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP), local authorities from Pittsylvania County government entities such as its Industrial Development Authority (IDA), regional groups like Southern Virginia Regional Alliance (SVRA), as well as financial incentives from programs such as Opportunity Fund grants ($350K) approved by Governor Youngkin; an additional $145K grant from Tobacco Region Opportunity Fund; plus eligibility under Port of Virginia Economic Infrastructure Development Zone Grant Program.
