Rachelle Robinson, registrar and attendance secretary at Maybeury Elementary School, has been recognized as the latest “Yay of the Day” honoree by Henrico County Public Schools. Superintendent Amy Cashwell presented the award to Robinson at Maybeury Elementary.
Robinson was nominated by Destiny Dykes, who highlighted her dedication to supporting families and staff. Dykes said, “She is the definition of going ‘above and beyond’ for the families and teachers at Maybeury. Her hard work never goes unnoticed. She’s amazing at making each families registration personable and smooth. She’s amazing with our students and I love how bright her light shines in our office.”
Dykes also described a recent example of Robinson’s commitment: “She sat with one of our multilingual families during registration for more than two hours with our translator, Volatia, on the phone to make sure the parent knew what was expected, documents that were needed and homerooms were assigned before the family left.”
