Land ā€˜N’ Sea Distributing, Inc., a wholesale distributor of marine and recreational vehicle parts and accessories, will invest $1.1 million to expand its operations in the City of Norfolk. The expansion involves moving into a larger facility at 3321 East Princess Anne Road, which is nearly double the size of its current location. This move is expected to create 29 new jobs for the region.

Governor Glenn Youngkin commented on the announcement: ā€œVirginia is proud to support the expansion of Land ā€˜N’ Sea Distributing, a company that has long been part of the Norfolk business community. This investment reinforces the strength of our logistics and distribution sectors and highlights the benefits of doing business in the Commonwealth—access to a skilled workforce, strategic East Coast location and world-class infrastructure. We look forward to Land ā€˜N’ Sea’s continued growth in Hampton Roads and the opportunities this project will bring to the region.ā€

Secretary of Commerce and Trade Juan Pablo Segura said: ā€œLand ā€˜N’ Sea has been part of Norfolk’s business fabric for more than three decades, and this expansion reflects both their confidence in the region and the rising demand in the marine and recreational vehicle industries. This project is about more than just square footage—it’s about scaling operations, creating new jobs and deepening roots in a community that understands the value of logistics and supply chain innovation. We’re proud to support this growth alongside our local and regional partners.ā€

Mike Conners, President of Land ā€˜N’ Sea Distributing, added: ā€œLand ā€˜N’ Sea is thrilled about the opportunity to expand our business footprint in Norfolk. This new location allows us to increase our inventory and space, while introducing an enhanced service model that will create additional jobs in the community. We’re grateful for the support we’ve received from the mayor’s office, as well as state and local officials, in welcoming us to our new home.ā€

The company was founded over 50 years ago with headquarters in Pompano Beach, Florida. It expanded into Norfolk by acquiring Norfolk Marine Distributors in 1992.

With this latest move, Land ā€˜N’ Sea plans to introduce approximately 5,000 new products while relocating from its current 61,800-square-foot facility into a new building measuring 120,000 square feet. The larger site aims to boost inventory capacity as well as improve operational efficiency.

Norfolk Mayor Kenny Alexander stated: ā€œLand ā€˜N’ Sea Distributing’s continued growth in Norfolk reinforces our city’s role as a key logistics and business hub on the East Coast. This $1.1 million investment and the creation of 29 new jobs reflect a strong vote of confidence in Norfolk’s workforce, infrastructure, and long-term economic potential. We thank Land ā€˜N’ Sea for deepening its commitment to our community.ā€

Douglas L. Smith, President & CEO of Hampton Roads Alliance said: ā€œLand ā€˜N’ Sea Distributing’s expansion is a win for both Norfolk and the entire Hampton Roads region. This project reflects the strength of our logistics and distribution sector and reinforces Hampton Roads as a strategic hub for business growth. We congratulate the Land ā€˜N’ Sea team and look forward to the positive ripple effects this investment will have across our regional economy.ā€

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) worked with city officials along with Hampton Roads Alliance on securing this project for Norfolk; benefits are available through Virginia Enterprise Zone grant programs.

Senator Angelia Williams Graves remarked: ā€œI’m proud to welcome the expansion of Land ā€˜N’ Sea Distributing, Inc. right here in the City of Norfolk,ā€ adding that it brings job opportunities while reinforcing local economic strengths.

VEDP will assist with job creation efforts via its Virginia Jobs Investment Program (VJIP), which offers consultative services plus funding for recruitment/training activities designed specifically for companies adding positions within Virginia.
