The Henrico County School Board in Virginia has announced its upcoming meetings scheduled for Thursday, February 12, 2026. The work session will begin at 3:30 p.m., followed by a public hearing on the budget at 5:00 p.m. Both events will take place in the auditorium of the New Bridge Learning Center, located at 5915 Nine Mile Road in Henrico.

According to the board, closed sessions may be held during the work session as needed. All School Board meetings are open to the public and interested citizens are invited to attend. However, there will be no in-person public forum at this meeting.

Citizens are encouraged to submit written comments in advance using an online form available on the School Board webpage by 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11. “The rules that apply to public comment at Board meetings also apply to written comments. This includes, but is not limited to:

Stakeholders must provide their name and HCPS school affiliation, if applicable.

Stakeholders shall use commonly accepted rules of courtesy, respect, civility, and decorum.

The use of obscenity or defamation is strictly prohibited and shall be ruled out of order.”

Written comments submitted under these guidelines will become part of the meeting record and will be published publicly. They are also subject to FOIA regulations; stakeholders should consider this before including sensitive information about students or individuals. Comments that meet requirements will be distributed to Board members prior to the meeting and posted for public view in BoardDocs where all materials are archived.

A livestream of the meeting will be accessible through the main Henrico County Public Schools website at https://www.henricoschools.us.

Meeting agendas can be found via BoardDocs at https://www.boarddocs.com/vsba/henrico/Board.nsf/Public.

Citizens may contact the School Board anytime by email at schoolboard@henrico.k12.va.us.
