The County School Board of Henrico County, Virginia, has announced that it will hold a work session on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. The meeting will take place in the auditorium of the New Bridge Learning Center at 5915 Nine Mile Road in Henrico.
Closed sessions may be held during the work session as needed. All School Board meetings are open to the public and interested citizens are encouraged to attend.
There will not be an in-person public forum at this meeting. Citizens who wish to provide input can submit written comments ahead of time using an online form. Comments must be submitted by 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7 via the School Board webpage at https://henricoschools.us/school-board/ by clicking “Connecting with the Board.” The rules for public comment at Board meetings also apply to written submissions. This includes providing a name and HCPS school affiliation if applicable, following rules of courtesy and decorum, and avoiding obscenity or defamation.
Written comments that meet these requirements will become part of the official meeting record and are subject to disclosure under FOIA regulations. Stakeholders are advised not to include sensitive information about specific students or individuals in their comments. These comments will be distributed to Board members before the meeting and posted publicly in BoardDocs along with other meeting materials.
