Henrico County Government shares updates on camp registration and early voting deadlines

Henrico County Government has provided updates on early voting and camp registration for local residents through a series of posts on April 17, 2026.

In a post at 3:10 p.m. on April 17, Henrico County Government outlined upcoming registration deadlines for an upcoming camp: “Key registration dates:
– By Wednesday, April 22: $420 (early rate)
– Starting Thursday, April 23: $450 (standard rate)
The camp cost includes meals and lodging for five days and four nights, programs, class materials and a camp T-shirt.”

Later that day at 7:40 p.m., the county government reported activity at polling locations ahead of the special election: “Henrico residents are lined up Friday at the Henrico Government Center to cast an early ballot in the upcoming special election. Henrico’s three early, in-person voting sites – also the Eastern Government Center & Varina Area Library – are open until 4:30pm today.”

A subsequent post at 7:43 p.m. reminded residents about remaining opportunities to vote: “Saturday, April 18 – tomorrow – is the final day to vote early in-person. The three county sites will be open 9am-5pm.
Can’t make it early? Henrico’s 90 precincts will open for in-person voting 6am-7pm on Election Day, Tuesday, April 21.”

Henrico County Public Schools District enrolled over 50,000 students during the 2023-24 school year according to state education data (source). The district’s enrollment saw a slight increase of 0.1% from the previous year (source). Among its schools, Deep Run High School had the highest enrollment with more than two thousand students (source). Demographically, Black students made up the largest ethnic group in county schools during that period (source).
