Henrico County Government has shared updates on public participation and emergency contacts in a series of social media posts dated January 26, 2026.
In its first message, the county announced that “For the 6 p.m. regular meeting, county staff and the public are encouraged to participate remotely via Webex. The agenda, guidance for remote participation and other information are at https://t.co/Q8rc3GeNv4.” This provides an option for remote involvement in government proceedings.
Another post provided critical emergency contact information: “• Emergencies: 911 • Register for Henrico County Emergency Alerts: https://t.co/4bmKjaURRq” (January 26, 2026).
A third tweet listed important local phone numbers for residents needing utility or safety services: “Key Phone Numbers & Links: • Water/Sewer: 804-501-5025 • Downed Trees: 804-727-8300 (West End), 804-652-3975 (East End) • Henrico Police: 804-501-5000 • Dominion Energy: 866-366-4357 • Richmond City Gas Works: 804-646-4646” (January 26, 2026).
Henrico County Public Schools District is the only school district serving the area, enrolling over 50,000 students during the 2023–24 school year (source). Enrollment figures increased slightly from the previous year. Among these schools, Deep Run High School had the highest enrollment with over two thousand students (source). Black students represented the largest ethnic group within the district at nearly thirty-six percent of total enrollment (source). Additionally, Holladay Elementary School had the highest number of pre-kindergarten students enrolled during this period (source).
