Henrico County Public Schools District serves as the sole school district in Henrico County. During the 2023-24 academic year, it enrolled over 50,000 students, with Deep Run High School recording the highest enrollment among its schools at just over 2,000 students. The student population is diverse; Black students represented the largest ethnic group during that period, making up about 35.7% of total enrollment. Total school enrollment saw a slight increase from the previous year.
The announced events coincide with ongoing efforts in Henrico County to highlight local history and support community engagement through educational programming.
