Henrico County Government provided information about the December 16, 2025, Board of Supervisors meeting through a series of social media posts. The tweets included instructions for public participation and highlighted an acknowledgment of Hanukkah by county officials.
In a post on December 16, 2025, Henrico County Government announced, “The Dec. 16 meeting of the #Henrico Board of Supervisors will shortly. There are two ways to watch online: see the livestream at https://t.co/owl6qI8cJR join the Webex version at https://t.co/E7ShnbXisu. https://t.co/WNlH4rfcou”. Shortly after, another tweet offered guidance for remote participation: “You can participate remotely if you’re watching on WebEx. To join a public hearing or the public comment portion of the regular meeting, please see this guidance: https://t.co/E7ShnbXisu.”
During the meeting, County Manager John Vithoulkas recognized Hanukkah and extended holiday wishes to residents celebrating it. As noted in their tweet from December 16, “County Manager John Vithoulkas is noting that Hanukkah is underway. He & the Board of Supervisors are wishing a happy Hanukkah to all Henrico residents who celebrate the holiday.”
Henrico County serves a diverse population and operates one public school district—Henrico County Public Schools—which enrolled over 50,000 students during the 2023-24 academic year (source). Among its schools, Deep Run High School had the highest enrollment with more than 2,000 students (source). Black students represented the largest ethnic group in county schools during that period, accounting for over one-third of total enrollment (source). Total student numbers increased slightly compared to previous years (source), and Holladay Elementary led pre-kindergarten enrollments within the county (source).
