Henrico County Government recently shared updates regarding tourism spending and upcoming public meetings through its official social media channels. The posts highlight continued economic activity in the region and provide information about local governance.
On September 17, 2025, Henrico County Government announced that “Visitors collectively spent more than $1.9 billion in Henrico County during 2024, a total that continued to lead localities in central Virginia and remained the fifth highest in Virginia, according to an annual study by Virginia Tourism Corp.”

Henrico County is home to a large public school district with over 50,000 students enrolled during the 2023-24 academic year (source). Deep Run High School reported the highest enrollment among all schools in the county for that period (source). Black students made up the largest ethnic group within Henrico schools at nearly 36% of total enrollment (source). Overall student numbers increased slightly compared to the previous year (source), while Holladay Elementary led pre-kindergarten enrollment across the district (source).
