Henrico County Government has announced the approaching deadline for early-bird registration for the 2026 Henrico Junior 4-H Camp, according to a series of posts on April 17, 2026.

In a tweet posted at 15:09 UTC, Henrico County Government wrote: “Why did the tree go to summer camp? It wanted to branch out and make new friends!

The early-bird registration rate for the 2026 Henrico Junior 4-H Camp ends Wednesday, April 22!

A follow-up message at 15:10 UTC provided additional details about eligibility and availability: “Children ages 9 through 13 can be registered for the camp, which will be held July 27-31 at the Jamestown 4-H Educational Center. About 40 spaces remain available.”

Another post from the same day outlined activities offered at the camp: “Campers will enjoy a fun, safe environment where they can branch out and explore the outdoors through activities such as swimming, archery, canoeing, basketball, volleyball, forestry, shooting education, campfires, crafts, marine science, skits and more.”

Henrico County is served by a single public school district that enrolled over fifty thousand students during the previous academic year (source). The county’s schools saw an enrollment increase of just over one-tenth of a percent compared to the prior year (source). Black students represented approximately thirty-six percent of total enrollment in Henrico County schools during this period (source).

The annual Junior 4-H Camp is among several extracurricular opportunities available to local children each summer.
