Henrico County Government highlighted the contributions of Ashley Kubat, head of administration at the Economic Development Authority (EDA), in a series of posts on August 29, 2025. The tweets focused on Kubat’s role within the EDA and promoted Henrico County as an employer.
In a post published at 13:11 UTC, the county stated that “Ashley Kubat appreciates being part of a team at the Economic Development Authority and enjoys contributing to projects that strengthen the community and economy of Henrico County.” At 13:13 UTC, another tweet quoted Kubat directly: “Henrico has such a forward focus as a county. So it really puts an emphasis on growth, not only for the county itself but also for employees,” says Kubat, the EDA’s head of administration.
A subsequent post at 13:16 UTC encouraged job seekers to consider working for Henrico County. The tweet read: “Level up your career by working for Henrico – one of the best employers in VA, according to @Forbes! The county offers competitive salaries, excellent benefits, career advancement opportunities and an inclusive work environment. Explore job opportunities: https://t.co/Uw332WaR2t”
Henrico County is home to a large public school district that enrolled over 50,000 students during the 2023-24 academic year (source). Deep Run High School had the highest enrollment among local schools with more than 2,000 students (source). Black students made up the largest ethnic group in county schools during this period, accounting for nearly 36% of total enrollment (source). The overall student population increased slightly from the previous year (source), and Holladay Elementary School led pre-kindergarten enrollment with over 200 students (source).
These social media posts reflect ongoing efforts by Henrico County Government to promote both its economic development initiatives and employment opportunities.
