Henrico County Government recently highlighted the experiences of Heather Glatt, a dispatcher with Henrico 911, through a series of social media posts. The tweets detail Glatt’s path to her current role and emphasize the county’s supportive work environment and training programs.

On September 19, 2025, Henrico County Government shared Glatt’s story: “Heather Glatt had never seriously considered working in public safety until she saw a job posting for a dispatcher with @henrico911_ . The challenge appealed to her, so she applied and was hired. She says the supportive environment and hands-on training make Henrico stand out.”

In a follow-up post on the same day, Glatt described her experience with the county’s approach to employee support and training: “I feel like Henrico really takes care of the people that work here,” says Glatt, who was born and raised in the county. “You get good, one-on-one training – being able to have that trainer that you kind of work through the whole phase with.”

Henrico County is home to an extensive public school system—the only district in the area—which enrolled over 50,000 students during the 2023-24 school year (source). The district saw a slight increase in student numbers compared to previous years (source), reflecting ongoing growth in Henrico County.
