Later that evening, Henrico County reported actions taken by its Board following a public hearing. The Board also addressed infrastructure funding needs. In another update from the same date: “Following a public hearing, the Board approved a resolution for the sale of up to $125 million of water & sewer system revenue bonds. Funds from the bond sale will support Public Utilities projects.”
Henrico County is served by one school district—Henrico County Public Schools—which enrolled over 50,000 students during the 2023-24 academic year. Deep Run High School had the highest enrollment among local schools that year with more than 2,000 students. Black students made up nearly 36% of total enrollment in Henrico schools during that period, followed by white students at nearly 32%. Total student numbers have seen only slight increases year-over-year.
