On October 2, 2025, Henrico County Government promoted an upcoming event: “Check out a new, free community event this Saturday! The inaugural Varina Fair is set for 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 4 at Dorey Park, 2999 Darbytown Road. * Car, truck & bike show * Line dance show * Boy Scouts demonstrations * Music by DJ Smooth * Vendors, food trucks & door prizes”. Henrico County serves as home to the Henrico County Public Schools District, which enrolled over 50,000 students in the 2023-24 academic year—a figure that represents a slight increase from previous years (source).
