Henrico County Government announced on December 17, 2025, that the Board has approved measures related to facilities and property leases in the county.

In a statement posted to its official X account, Henrico County Government said, “The Board has approved a resolution that will provide additional parking for events at the Henrico Sports & Events Center.” The same day, another post explained, “The measure amends a lease agreement with the Henrico Sports & Entertainment Authority for the facility, adding neighboring county-owned property to the lease.”

Further details were provided in a subsequent post: “The Board has approved a resolution for a lease of 36K square feet of office & warehouse space at 4259 Carolina Ave. The lease is for 61 months, renewable for a five-year term; monthly base rent for the first year is $28,500.”

Henrico County is home to Henrico County Public Schools District, which enrolled over 50,000 students during the 2023-24 school year according to data from the Virginia Department of Education (source). Deep Run High School had the highest enrollment among local schools during this period (source).
