Henrico County Public Schools (HCPS) announced that students and their families can engage with college representatives and employers at the district’s College and Career Night on October 21.
According to HCPS, the event will provide an opportunity for attendees to meet with representatives from nearly 100 colleges and universities, branches of the military, professional training programs, and local employers. The event is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. at the HCPS Adult Education Center in Regency Mall. It will include interpreters and resources on financial aid, scholarships, and other postsecondary support.
Attendees have the option to preregister online to receive a personal barcode. This barcode allows them to quickly share contact information with participating colleges, thereby reducing time spent filling out forms at the event. The program is organized by HCPS in partnership with the Virginia Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (VACRAO).
The Virginia Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers supports professionals in higher education by promoting professional development, career growth, and networking opportunities. VACRAO organizes statewide workshops, newsletters, an annual meeting, and participates in regional and national conferences to exchange ideas and encourage research in the field.
