Governor Glenn Youngkin announced new appointments to several state boards and committees in Virginia. The list includes positions across a range of sectors, such as administration, agriculture, education, health and human resources, judicial matters, public safety, and veterans affairs.
The Cybersecurity Planning Committee is among the administrative boards with new members. In the area of agriculture and forestry, appointments were made to the Virginia Agricultural Council. For issues concerning women in the Commonwealth, appointments were made to the Virginia Council on Women.
The Southeastern Public Service Authority also received designated appointees. In education, there are new members for both the Board of Regents of the James Monroe Law Office-Museum and Memorial Library and the Library Board.
Within health and human resources, appointments were announced for the Advisory Board on Midwifery as well as for the Statewide Independent Living Council. The judicial sector saw new appointees to the Virginia Criminal Sentencing Commission.
In public safety and homeland security, Governor Youngkin named members to the Advisory Committee on Sexual and Domestic Violence. Finally, within veterans and defense affairs, appointments were made to the Board of Veterans Services.
